How
long have you been with Schreiner? Where were you prior? It will be 4 years in March that I’ve been with Schreiner.
Prior to working at Schreiner I got married and took some time off
from working in the Higher Education field and tried the private
sector in the banking and insurance industry and found that the
field of Higher Education was my true passion.
What do you like best about Schreiner
University? It allows
you the opportunity to succeed. It’s a great place to grow
professionally. Also it is very family orientated which is wonderful.
What
do you like best about your position at Schreiner? The
students, I enjoy working with the students. It is a wonderful experience
to see a student grow and achieve their goals.
What Schreiner events do you enjoy?
I think all the events are great but I’m partial
to Welcome Week.
It’s great to see the students coming together to
begin a new academic year. It’s an exciting time!
Favorite
food: Mexican, especially my dad’s Menudo during the holidays. It’s the
best!
Favorite
books: "To Kill a Mockingbird" -- I can read
that book over and over again. I also enjoy several of Max Lucado’s
books.
Favorite vacation spot:
Lake Tahoe, CA in the summer
and Barcelona, Spain
in the spring time.
What do you like to do during your
weekends? Cooking with my
husband and
watching Elmo videos
with my son. Also taking long power walks as a family.
Is there any particular advice you
would give to students? If
there is doubt, then you probably shouldn’t do it.
