How long have you been with
Schreiner? I joined the admission team at Schreiner
University in July of 2009.
Where were you prior? Prior to joining Schreiner
University, I was the Church Administrator for St. Peter’s
Episcopal Church in Kerrville. I also worked at the Riverside
Nature Center as Program Presenter, Guide and Summer Camp
Coordinator.
What do you like best about Schreiner University?
Schreiner University is more than a place to work. I’ve become a
member of a special family that is devoted to giving students a
great education as well as helping them develop their full
potential in all aspects of their lives.
What Schreiner events do you enjoy? I enjoy Monday Night
Fiction and our many music programs. I am also a member of
Schreiner Alliance.
Favorite food: Veal Picatta and most seafood, especially
shrimp and crab.
Favorite books: Cold Mountain, White Oleander,
The Kite Runner
Favorite vacation spot: I love to travel. Greece
and St. Petersburg, Russia are top priorities for future
adventures. I enjoy the beach and spend at least one week a year
in Perdido Key, FL.
What do you like to do during your weekends? I spend a
lot of time wakeboarding and wakeskating on Lake LBJ. I also
enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors.
Is there any particular advice you would give to students?
Be proactive in your life. Take responsibility for your actions.
Become part of a larger community. Remember to take time to
enjoy the beauty of a sunset or a field of wildflowers. |
