Where were you prior? I was an
accountant with Kerrville State Hospital for a short time
and prior to that was an accountant with the University of
Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

What
do you like best about your position at Schreiner?
There’s never a dull moment. It’s always busy and
time just flies by. Before you know it, it’s time to go
home!
What
Schreiner events do you enjoy? I love
taking my girls to Fright Night and did so even
before I worked here.
Favorite
food: Where do I start??? A good slice of
pizza, Cheetos, Doritos, chips and salsa, warm out of the
oven chocolate chip cookies, baby back ribs, a good tender
bloody-rare T-bone steak…I’ll stop for now.
Favorite
books: I have two precious little girls which doesn’t
leave much time for reading except for Disney stories,
Beverly Cleary and whatever else they jump in my lap with.
Favorite
vacation spot:
Disney
World! I’ve been 5 times since ’74 and we’re planning to
take the girls for their FIRST trip in summer of ’06.
Is there any particular advice would you give to students?
My goal in college was just to get through...get
finished…get out…get on with things. Instead, you need to
enjoy these years because they are a special and pivotal
time in your life that you will always reflect upon.
Remember that the decisions you make and path you choose
during this 4 or 5 years of your life will impact your
career and earning potential for the rest of your life.
This is a big deal! Take time to have fun, don’t stress or
stroke out, work hard, stay focused and smell the coffee and
roses while you’re here. |
