How long have you been with Schreiner? I started my job with Schreiner University on August 3, 2009.

Where were you prior? Before coming to SU, I worked for my alma mater, Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. I worked for about a year in the Alumni Relations office before beginning my master’s degree in Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education. Before accepting my current position at Schreiner, I completed a graduate assistantship in the office of Academic Advising at ASU. I will complete my master’s degree in May 2010.

What do you like best about Schreiner University? I like how everyone on campus is like one big family. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I also really appreciate how the Schreiner University staff and faculty really put the students and their needs first.

What Schreiner events do you enjoy? I enjoy working out in the NEW Mountaineer fitness center, attending sporting events and working with the student organizations.

Favorite food: I love all types of foods…Mexican, Italian, Chinese and so many others!

Favorite books: I loved the Twilight series, He’s Just Not That Into You, Dirty Girls Social Club, and most self-help books by Dr. Phil.

Favorite vacation spot: I enjoy hanging out on Lake Brownwood or floating down the Comal or Guadalupe River.

What do you like to do during your weekends? I love spending time with my family and friends and attending live sporting events, such as a Texas Rangers baseball game, Dallas Mavericks basketball game, or a Dallas Cowboys football game! I also enjoy watching sports on TV, going to the movies, attending a Texas country music concert and going dancing!

Is there any particular advice you would give to students? College is a time when you will find your own identity, not one developed by your parents or your friends. Appreciate who you were, who you are and who you want to become.
