What
I like best about Schreiner University: The people here are
wonderful and that's what makes Schreiner the place it is. I love
the students! They are so much fun, but I don't get to work with
them as much as I would like to.
 What
do I like best about my position? I get to do something I love
- design. I get to be creative and the projects are always changing
so it never gets boring. I'm very excited about focusing on the
admissions materials. I also like taking photos around campus.

What
Schreiner events do I enjoy? Working with Advancement and University
Relations has allowed me to work the events for donors and alumni.
I have met some very interesting and caring people who love SU and
the students.
Favorite
food: Almost everything, but Italian and "New Mexican"
cuisine are at the top of the list. Tiramisu is my favorite desert.
Favorite
Book: Lately I have been into reading more spiritual and motivational
books as well as art books. I am now reading "Independent Spirits"
Women Painters of the American West, 1890-1945.
 Favorite
vacation spot: I love to travel! I'm pretty sure I have gypsy
blood. I LOVE the mountains and southwestern Colorado is absolutely
beautiful but I also LOVE the red rock country in Utah. Zion National
Park is one the most magnificent places to visit. Fishing at Lake
Powell in Utah (pictured) was a favorite getaway growing
up and I want to head that direction again soon. It's awesome country!
The Ft. Davis area in West Texas is my new favorite Texas spot.
What
do I like to do on weekends: We live in the country and I really
enjoy being outside enjoying the great view we have, and relaxing
around the pond in the yard. Going on walks with the dogs and cats
(yes, my cats go for walks too). I love to swim and water activities.
I also enjoy painting, drawing and cooking. During the school year,
there is a lot of time spent going to the school sporting events
for my daughter. Basketball is my favorite. And I spend time with
my family.
Advice
to students: Follow your heart and go into a career that you
will enjoy. Life is way too short to spend your lifetime working
at a job you hate. If there is something you really want to do in
life, do it and never give up.
