Audio Visual Equipment
To enhance, enable and assist student’s “digital” learning endeavors, Schreiner University Instructional Technology maintains an assortment of digital cameras, video cameras and recording devices which may be checked out free of charge through the Logan Library’s Voyager system.
All resources are located in the Logan Library and Dickey building and may be checked out or reserved through the Logan Library Computer Commons Facilitator’s office M-F 11 AM to 3 PM. (830) 792-7262. Check out of equipment after hours or special arrangements for resources can be handled by contacting the Library staff, or the Media Support Specialist (830) 792-7431.
Available equipment Includes:
Digital cameras (consumer point and shoot models)
Digital voice recorders
Wireless microphone systems for use with the digital camcorders
USB microphones (for podcasting and audio voice overs)
LCD Projectors (for school related usage)
DVD and CD duplicators
Still photography and video studio lighting systems, blue/green screens (For use in the Dickey Digital Designs Learning Space (DDDLS)which may be reserved through Instructional Technology)
The “Makerbot” 3D printer in the DDDLS which makes plastic 3D models of original designs. (Reservation required)
Additionally, PC and Apple computers with a variety of audio, imaging and video editing software (including Adobe products) are available for your use. Instructional support in the use of software and equipment is available from Instructional Technology staff or the Logan Library Computer Help Desk student workers.
All resources are also available for use by faculty and staff.
