JUNCTION, TEXAS

Junction is a vibrant West Texas town of 2,618. Located on the western edge of the Texas Hill Country on Interstate Highway 10, Junction is also served by U.S. Highways 83 and 377. The town is a short distance from the U.S. 290 intersection with 1-10. Junction is 120 miles northwest of San Antonio, 150 miles west of Austin, 260 miles southwest of Dallas, and 450 miles east of El Paso. (Courtesy of the Kimble County Chamber of Commerce Web site)


Junction derives it's official nick name " The Land of Living Waters " from the fact that there is more flowing water in Junction and Kimble County than any other county in the state (according to the City of Junction Web site).
