Edwards Aquifer Juggling Act: Supply, Demand,
Conservation, Springs, Alternatives and Policy"
The second in the annual
series of symposia will address issues associated with
the Edwards Aquifer, its productivity and conservation
in relation to population growth in the region, and
policy and efforts to acquire alternate sources of
water.

Robert Puente,
President/CEO,
San Antonio Water System
Puente recently retired after 17 years in the
Texas House of Representatives, where he served
on the House Natural Resources Committee. He
sponsored the landmark Senate Bill 3, which
deals with statewide water management and
pumping permits for the Edwards Aquifer. He also
was involved in the 1993 legislation that
created Edwards Aquifer.
Doug Miller, Chairman - Board of Directors,
Edwards Aquifer Authority
Miller served as water liaison
for the City of New Braunfels and Comal County
for eight years, as well as on water study
committees for the management plan for Edwards
Aquifer. The Texas Water Development Board
appointed him to serve as a small business
representative on the South Central Texas
Regional Water Planning Group. He is a former
mayor of New Braunfels and served on the city
council.

section on Map). You can Google Map "John
Peace Blvd, 78249." (It will typically be off of Loop
1604-W, Exit John Peace Blvd/ La Cantera). As you enter
the campus on John Peace Blvd., the road will take you
to a turn around where the MAIN BUILDING is located. The
parking LOT 4 will be on your left as you enter.
The Auditorium in the Main Building is located on the
ground floor Rm. 0.104.
