Providing a Schreiner education to qualified students regardless of their financial status and attracting meritorious students require almost $11 million per year in Schreiner scholarships and grants. A variety of gift types will help keep open this door of hope: Annual giving($5,000 to $100,000) will support a wide range of scholarships, Presbyterian Heritage Grants, talent awards, campus jobs and other forms of student aid to more than 90% of our student body. Gifts to the Hill Country College Fund helps students from Kerr, Kendall, Kimble, Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie and Real Counties realize their Schreiner dreams.
Endowed scholarships ($25,000 and up) will provide permanent support by distributing an annual amount to worthy students while preserving the corpus for growth and safety, thus reducing dependence upon yearly gifts. Friends interested in naming a family endowment can pledge $25,000 and pay in up to five yearly installments.
Endowments are gifts that keep on giving. The funds are invested, and the earnings generated nursing studentsby the investment is used for the purpose the donor wishes.
Endowments may be established to support student scholarships and programs, faculty and their work, or specific programs that enhance the education opportunities for our students.
A portion of the income may be re-invested each year, depending on the annual earnings of the endowment, enabling the endowment to continue to grow and provide a predictable, stable stream of income for Schreiner University over time.
